About the Author

The author of these articles is Rabbi Max Weiman. Rabbi Weiman was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He grew up with no affiliation and a mild Jewish identity. After receiving a BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Max became curious about the meaning of life which led him eventually to a traditional school of Jewish studies in Israel named Ohr Someach. He spent some time in Yeshivas Kol Yaakov of Monsey, Yeshivas Zichron Mayer of Mountaindale, and a number of years at Aish HaTorah in Jerusalem where he received rabbinic ordination in 1991. He lives now in St. Louis Missouri with his wife, Chava, and their five children, Yehuda, Akiva, Menucha, Avital, and Tiferet. He has been teaching for Aish St. Louis since 1998 and has specialized in kabbalah which he has been spreading by classes, newspaper articles, email, and the web. His articles have appeared in the St. Louis Jewish Light, Denver's Intermountain Jewish News, N.Y.'s The Jewish Press, Pathfinder (a midwest new-age newspaper, Today's Astrologer (A journal of the American Federation of Astrologers), and the Bulletin of the Astrological Association of St. Louis. His book on Kabbalah and Astrology is in Ebook format. Look for it on the front page.
